What does an encasement do that a regular protector does not?

Unlike a standard protector that covers only the top surface of your mattress, an encasement completely surrounds your pillow or mattress and fastens with a zip. This creates an impassable barrier that helps protect against bed bugs, allergens, spills and stains.

Are these protectors fully waterproof?

Yes. A soft jersey layer bonded with waterproof TPU creates a fully waterproof barrier, helping to protect your pillow or mattress from spills and moisture while remaining comfortable to sleep on.

Will I be able to feel the protector under my sheets?

The protector is designed to feel discreet and unobtrusive beneath your bedding. Its lightweight 120gsm jersey top layer feels soft and smooth, helping you stay comfortable while you sleep.

How do the encasements fit onto the mattress or pillow?

Both encasements completely surround your bedding and fasten securely with a zip. The mattress encasement has two zip heights for flexibility and fits mattresses between 30cm and 40cm deep. We recommend having two people fit the mattress encasement.

How often should I wash these protectors?

Wash your protectors regularly according to the care instructions. They're machine washable, and having two sets makes it easy to rotate them between washes while keeping your bedding protected.

Should I unzip the mattress encasement from time to time?

Yes. Because the mattress protector fully encases your mattress, we recommend unzipping it periodically to allow the mattress and protector to air. This helps excess moisture evaporate and keeps your bed feeling fresh.

Is this suitable for allergy sufferers?

These encasements are designed to create an impassable barrier against common allergens, helping to keep allergens inside older bedding contained while protecting newer bedding from exposure.
